When do courses start?

How long is the course?
Our on-campus programs are between 1 – 3 years depending on the degree you are looking to complete. Our online programs are usually 18 months long, broken down into 6 terms. Our online program aims to give working professionals the flexibility to balance work and studies.
How do the courses work & what do they entail?
On-campus students will spend time at our extension campus based in the world’s fashion capital, Milan, and will also be involved with projects at the sustainable fashion lab. Our programs in Sustainable Fashion Management cover sustainability from various angles of fashion. From design, operations, production, green economy, and green marketing.
Our Bachelor in Business Administration, in Sustainable Fashion Management, is taught in both Gland or Milan. This three-year program enables you to become an active player in the sustainable fashion industry. During this program, you will constantly be engaged in practical projects guided by a team of academics, consultants, and industry professionals.
Our Master’s degree in Sustainable Fashion Management focuses on building connections to industry experts, academics, and sustainable fashion innovators. You will learn through hands-on projects and be guest lectured by leading fashion brands from around the world. This will result in increased networking opportunities to help you find the best job opportunity fitting your profile and skills. At the end of the program, students are offered a 1-year internship opportunity.
SUMAS’s unique MBA in Sustainable Fashion Management allows students to gain a deep knowledge of the Sustainable Fashion Industry while understanding the opportunities, challenges, and trends the luxury industry will experience in the coming years. During this challenging program, students will take part in real-life company projects, and simulations. These projects aim to improve their leadership skills while enabling them to network with professionals and key players from the sustainable fashion and luxury industries. At the end of the program, students are offered a 1-year internship role in Switzerland.
Both online and on-campus students will engage in practice-oriented projects that are guided by academics, consultants, and professionals. These projects are part of SUMAS’s innovative teaching methodology which includes video conferences with leading speakers in organizations and in-class company presentations. These activities not only encourage knowledge-sharing but also provide valuable opportunities for networking to enhance your career development.
While our bachelor programs are only offered on-campus there is the option for our postgraduate programs (MAM and MBA) to be a hybrid of both online and on-campus learning. The aim of the hybrid course is to cater to the needs of working students balancing work/home life, whilst still aiming to receive a more hands-on learning experience. Our Hybrid learners are given 3 years to complete the program. 2 courses per term must be completed on the campus.
