Career development support

You are not building your career on your own

Vincent Wood — Careers Advisor, SUMAS

Careers Advisor

Vincent Wood

Vincent Wood is in charge of supporting SUMAS students in the development of their careers. He works with you one-to-one throughout your studies — clarifying where you want to go, sharpening your CV and applications, preparing you for interviews and helping you open the right doors.

Career modules on your online space

Every student also has access, on their online space, to a full personal development and career counselling course — self-assessment, personal branding, job search strategy, applications and interviews — to work through at any moment during the program.

Career Week, once or twice a year

One to two Career Weeks a year bring our alumni back to meet students: advice, honest feedback and first-hand accounts of what their careers actually looked like after SUMAS — and a network you can start building right away.

Professional Development Program (PDP)

Discover the PDP

This program is open to any on-campus student coming to the end of their studies and who wishes to extend their student status by a year. The program takes the format of group workshops and interview preparation, with additional bespoke individual counselling. Though an internship is not a mandatory part of any SUMAS program to complete your degree, you have the possibility to pursue one during this year and we will work with you to support your application for the best chances of success.
