Future Leaders Scholarship

The Future Leaders scholarship supports individuals who will ultimately make a difference in the world. This may be in a professional manner through inspiring and leading a team or by holding significant leadership roles in a social, charitable, or entrepreneurial context; or through personal or academic experience living abroad. For this scholarship, SUMAS is seeking candidates who can lead successfully by inspiring and motivating others. Applying for this scholarship may require the submission of an essay and/or an interview with the SUMAS Scholarship Committee.

Applying for this scholarship requires the submission of an essay (at least 2000 words).
In some cases, the SUMAS Committee can require the submission of a  2 minutes video explaining your motivation to apply at SUMAS  as well as your future plans to become a responsible leader.

IS THIS AN INDIVIDUAL PROJECT OR CAN WE WORK IN GROUPS?

Team work is not allowed, this is an individual project only.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A SUMAS GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP?

Participants must have submitted their Admissions Application along with its supporting documents and application fee before submitting a scholarship application. Please, note that scholarships are exclusively available for our campus-bounded students applying for a full-time program. Scholarships are not available for students taking our Online programs, Hybrid programs, CAS and DBA.

WHAT TYPE OF PROJECT MUST I SUBMIT?

This will depend on the scholarship you decide to apply for. Generally, graduate scholarships require an essay of at least 2,000 words (APA referencing) and/or a video of 2-3 minutes.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY SUMAS GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION?

The Scholarship application takes place during the regular admission process. Once your admissions application is submitted, you can request your Enrolment Advisor for the submission instructions

CAN I MODIFY MY PROJECT AFTER SUBMISSION?

Unfortunately, projects cannot be altered after submission. We recommend you send your project only once you are sure it is ready.
