I chose SUMAS because it’s very practical. I had the chance to work on different projects. At the Milan campus, I worked with Migros, which is a major supermarket chain in Switzerland. It was about green marketing: they created a new label, the M-check, that helps you understand how sustainable your products are. We got to benchmark it with different ecolabels, compare them, and provide the client with a solution to actually improve their M-check. So it was really interesting to apply sustainability in a marketing context.
Then I also worked with MUDEC, which is a famous museum in Milan. It was interesting for me because I don’t know much about the arts field. In this project, we had to understand how sustainability applies to the art and museum fields, including exhibitions.
Another project was with the WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development). We worked with them by analyzing the net- zero transformation of a specific company and had to provide this company with a solution to improve their net-zero transformation to become a member of the WBCSD.
I really enjoyed these three projects because they covered different industries and topics.
