SUMAS Learning Center (SLC)

The SLC is a bright and spacious learning center, and welcomes you to attend your classes in fully-equipped lecture and seminar rooms. Here you will also find our student reception and faculty rooms, as well as common areas for you to catch up between classes.

Conservation Center

At our Lake Geneva Campus in Gland, sustainability shapes everyday learning. Located just across from the center hosting WWF, Ramsar, African Wildlife Foundation and IUCN — one of the world’s most sustainable sites — students experience sustainability in action, not just in theory.

Student life in Switzerland

Switzerland enjoys a great diversity of culture, which is reflected at SUMAS by our international student community, faculty and staff. Travel is easy with an outstanding public transport system to national destinations and neighboring countries. Reputed as one of the happiest countries in the world. it offers a safe, clean and scenic environment to enjoy your studies.

Gland forms part of the La Côte region, a particularly stunning stretch of the Lake Geneva shoreline. It is one of the region’s most active towns for sustainability, offering local electric and hybrid public transport and various green initiatives to its residents.

Nearby, you will find pubs and bars, a beach, sports facilities including a football pitch, tennis courts and swimming pool. On weekends or study breaks, you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities: go skiing, paragliding, hiking, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, tobogganing, have beach barbecues, attend internationally-renowned festivals, events and more.

For a quick change of scenery, just 5 minutes away you will find the larger town of Nyon and a further 15 minutes will put you in the center of Geneva. In the opposite direction, you can access Morges (15 minutes by train) and the Olympic Capital Lausanne (25 minutes by train).
