Switzerland has been named the #3 study abroad country in Europe and #8 in the world, according to new rankings released by higher education search portal, educations.com.
“While being a relatively small country in Central Europe, Switzerland is a country that is able to offer an impressive quality of life and fantastic opportunities for education and careers,” the report says.
The 2019 rankings are based on a survey of over 20,000 students from around the world who sharedtheir priorities and concerns when choosing where to study abroad. The top factors that students voiced were used as a quantitative metric, and data from various external industry reports were used to score and rank 61 countries.
Fredrik Högemark, the CIO of educations.com, says “International students have special considerations when choosing an ideal university and program. We ranked Switzerland #2 in the world for teaching quality and #6 for education that aligns with career goals, which is pretty impressive for such a small country!”
