GREEN WEEK 2015
The Green Week is an international event taking place every year to present state-of-the-art innovative practices in sustainable economy. A 6-day non-stop event simultaneously taking place in several cities throughout Northeastern Italy, the Green Week is a meeting point for Italian and international scholars, professionals and journalists who gather in the Venice region to discuss about current and future trends in green development.
Green Week offers a unique opportunity for debate and exchanges of experience and best practice. In the last years, the conference has established itself as an unmissable event for anyone involved with protecting the environment.
As part of this year’s Green Week, Dr. Ivana Modena will be a guest speaker discussing the topic “Green Energies: Sostenibilità, Turismo e Manifattura per il Rilancio dei Territori” (Green Energies: Sustainability, Tourism and Manufacturing for the Revival of Territories).
How to reconcile manufacturing production, culture, tourism and sustainability? Experience shows that the connection of these three factors may be the basis for a new model of development of the territories, struggling with the challenges posed by changes in the competitive landscape internationally. We must seize the new opportunities for our manufacturing system, especially in light of the profound changes in consumption as a growing share of demand is directed towards objects containing intangible values, eg relating to environmental sustainability, and the specific nature of the territory. Investing to strengthen relations between manufacturing, cultural institutions and tourism becomes a strategic element.
The conference will be held at Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, 20th February 2015 at 20:00.
