Professor

Dr. Gino Borrelli teaches Strategic Marketing at SUMAS.

Gino is a Professor combining a long-standing successful industry career and academic teaching experience in the area of Digital Marketing Transformation and Marketing Strategy. In the classroom he focuses on engaging with students on business cases and real marketing projects with industry partners. His previous teaching assignments took him to reputable Universities in the United States and Switzerland.

Gino has extensive experience in leadership roles across FMCG, Automotive, Consumer health, Medical devices, Pharma, Nutrition, E-commerce and entrepreneurial ventures in both mature and emerging markets. Throughout his career he created value through building brands, financial and cultural turnarounds in both matrix organization and start-ups. His career started in Rome with Colgate Palmolive and he then moved to Brussels, Buenos Aires, Dar es Salaam, New York to fulfil leadership assignments including Vice President Personal Care Europe. He joined then Pirelli Tyre as President Europe to lead the European business in Milan. His recent assignments took him to Lausanne to develop the international business of Sunstar, a Japanese multinational in consumer health, as Global Corporate officer. After becoming CEO for a Swiss start up in diagnostics, he started teaching digital marketing and business finance for various educational institutions.

Gino is of Italian nationality. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
