Laurent Maeder serves as a Professor for Sustainable Innovation and Green Economy at the Sustainability Management School (SUMAS).

Over the past 25 years he has built his expertise in the field of Sustainable Innovation and Sustainable Development in textile and various industries across Europe and Asia. He managed organisations as CEO and Founder and had professional assignments as Head of Product and Key Account Manager.

He is an accomplished Senior Manager and Consultant with a focus on environmental and social issues and leveraging on sustainable business opportunities. Laurent has an extensive track record of sustainable innovation transformation in small to large sized private sector companies. In consulting projects he gained international experience and provided leadership expertise in business and product transformations towards sustainability. Prior to that, he was Head of Product for Switcher SA, pioneer company in sustainable development in the textile industry. Laurent is a frequent contributor and guest speaker at conferences related to sustainable innovation and economic transformation towards a circular economy.
