Dr. Leilane Rigatto has more than 19 years of experience in higher education, lecturing and researching on an international level. She held several top academic and research positions at some of the most reputable universities in Brazil, Mexico and Italy.

Before she began her work as a Professor and researcher, Leilane worked as a fashion designer creating and developing collections for over 15 years for established fashion brands and mills. From 2004 until 2016 she developed her entrepreneurial skills owning and managing her own brand, Lane Rigatto, commercializing her products both in Japan and Brazil.

As a researcher, Leilane contributed to and published in indexed journals and conferences. From 2015 to 2018 she pursued a Ph.D. Fellowship – FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation), São Paulo, Brazil. She has been regularly honored as a finalist for various academic, fashion and artistic awards.

She is Brazilian and holds Italian Citzenship; she is fluent in English, Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
